Central Elementary is located at 1100 Tenth Street. Grades 3 through 5, with a
population of 145, attend this center. Title 1 Reading and Math and special
education services are available. West Monona Elementary is a Reading
First School. We have a three year commitment (2006-2009) to
scientifically-based reading research instruction covering the five components
of balanced literacy; phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and
comprehension.
